Learning Skills to Help Better Manage Difficult Emotions

Dialectical Behavior Therapy, also referred to as DBT, is an evidence-based, skill-focused treatment used to help all persons struggling with difficult emotions. DBT is a derivative of cognitive behavior therapy (CBT) that integrates mindfulness techniques that allow for individuals the ability to tolerate strong emotions and urges that are easy to give in to.
